Al sur de nuestro país, más lejos que Tartagal de Buenos Aires, están las islas llamadas Malvinas o Falklands, según quién lo pronuncie.

Aunque ninguno de sus habitantes lo desee, cada gobierno argentino se ha empeñado en nacionalizarlas e incorporarlas definitivamente como posesión al territorio nacional argentino. Al menos eso es lo que dicen mientras duran las campañas políticas previas a las elecciones.

Si en esas islas tienen acceso a los mismos informativos que vemos nosotros y que sólo hablan de Buenos Aires olvidándose de todas las localidades del llamado “interior”, nuestros políticos están en problemas...
Años de postergaciones y desidia por parte del Gobierno Federal forman el extenso rosario de frustraciones y esperas infructuosas que cada provinciano lleva, sin orgullo. ¿Podrán cambiar los gobernantes aquella tradición nacional de olvido, abandono y postergaciones a los que nos tienen acostumbrados a los ciudadanos del interior del país...? Se ocuparán de los kelpers como se ocupan de los jujeños, chaqueños o santacruceños, tan argentinos como el habitante de Buenos Aires que viaja en el subte que subsidiamos todos?

Con un inmenso mar de por medio basta sólo con imaginar cuál puede llegar a ser su destino si algún día el presupuesto de las islas se ahogara en las frías aguas de la burocracia porteña relegándolos como ocurre con algunas provincias. Seguramente quienes hoy viven en esas desoladas islas –los “kelpers”- prefieran seguir siendo habitantes de segunda categoría de Gran Bretaña y no descender a tercera.

To the south of our country, farther than Tartagal of Buenos Aires, they are the called islands Malvinas or Falklands, pronounce it according to who.
Although none of their inhabitants wants it, each Argentinean government has determined to nationalize them and to incorporate them like possession to the Argentinean national territory. At least that is what you/they say while the previous political campaigns last to the elections.
If in those islands they have access to the same ones informative that see us and that they only speak of Buenos Aires forgetting all the towns of the call political "interior", they are in problems...
Years of postponements on the part of the Federal Government form the extensive rosary of frustrations and fruitless waits that each provincial takes, without pride. Will they be able to change the rulers that national tradition of forgetfulness, abandonment and postponements to those that have accustomed to the citizens of the interior of the country...? will they be in charge of the kelpers like they are in charge of the provinces of Jujuy, Chaco or Santa Cruz, as Argentinean as the inhabitant from Buenos Aires that travels in the subway that we subsidize all?
With an immense sea of for half coarse only with imagining which it can end up being their destination if some day the budget of the islands drowned in the cold waters of the Buenos Aires bureaucracy relegating them like it happens with some counties. Surely who today they live in those lonely islands - the "kelpers" - they prefer to continue being inhabitants of second category of Great Britain and not to descend at third.
